This week, prices of 5-series, 6-series, and 8-series ternary cathode precursors continued to decline. Cost side, nickel sulphate, cobalt sulphate, and manganese sulphate all dropped slightly.
NEV market side, domestic 6-series orders saw relatively significant growth, while 5-series demand remained weak, with its market share expected to shrink further. The 8-series segment remained stable. The NEV market is expected to recover slightly in June. Consumer market side, as producers completed raw material stockpiling in March and April, current declining material prices turned market sentiment cautious, gradually entering a destocking phase. June orders for consumer products are projected to decrease.
Price trend side, influenced by continuous declines in nickel sulphate and cobalt sulphate prices coupled with overall weak demand, precursor prices still have room for further downward movement.
